Rebecca Archer

Lower Blackwood LCDC

adminROCs, Margaret River, ROCs

Rebecca commenced with the Lower Blackwood Landcare team in February 2023, and has been working combined roles in project and finance management.

Rebecca graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Environmental Science from Murdoch University, and kicked off her environmental career as a botanist conducting floristic surveys around the Perth metro area. Rebecca went on to gain over 15 years of environmental management experience working on mine sites and construction projects across Western Australia, including the Pilbara, Goldfields and the Southwest.

Rebecca has a particular passion for identifying and utilising suitable endemic plant species in urban and agricultural landscapes to increase biodiversity, and the ecosystem services this provides to landholders and producers.

As someone who has lived and worked almost exclusively in regional and remote areas of Western Australia, Rebecca is acutely aware of the need to engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve the understanding and uptake of sustainable initiatives.
