🏆 2025 Wine Communicator Awards — WINNER!
We are absolutely delighted to have won the Best Wine Education Provider category at the Wine Communicators of Australia 2025 Wine Communicator Awards.
To be recognised by our peers is a wonderful honour — particularly after more than 30 years of teaching, education, extension and sharing practical knowledge and experience with winegrowers in Australia and overseas.
Mary helped establish the viticulture and wine studies program at Onkaparinga Institute of TAFE in 1995 and began lecturing at just 21. What started as a passion for sharing practical viticultural knowledge has evolved over three decades into an ongoing commitment to education, extension and helping winegrowers put knowledge into practice.
Most recently, that journey culminated in the National EcoVineyards Program — bringing together growers, wine regions, researchers, industry organisations and businesses to demonstrate practical approaches to improving vineyard biodiversity, soil health and ecological resilience.
This award is a wonderful recognition of that journey, but it is also a celebration of the many people who have contributed along the way.
Thank you to all the partnering businesses, wine regions, the EcoVineyards team and our incredible EcoGrowers who have supported the vision, shared their knowledge and helped turn ideas into action.
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.
Thank you, Wine Communicators of Australia, for recognising wine education and the people working to share knowledge across our industry.
The 2025 Wine Communicator Awards dinner was held in Sydney on 6 November 2025. You can read about all the award finalists here
